EHS Support LLC (EHS Support) is honored to be ranked the #5 company on the Pittsburgh Business Times Pittsburgh 100, an annual ranking that recognizes the fastest-growing private companies in southwestern Pennsylvania.

It is an honor to be recognized as the fifth fastest growing privately held firm in the Pittsburgh area. We couldn’t have done it without our clients and employees and we share this award with them and thank each of them for making this possible,” said Kenny Ogilvie, CEO of EHS Support. “We look forward to continuing our long term relationships and contributing to the economy within Pittsburgh, as well as throughout the United States, for years to come.

Additionally, EHS Support was ranked, in the category of Energy/Environmental/Engineering, as the number one fastest growing environmental consulting firm in the area.

Andrew Patz, President of EHS Support said, “We are blessed to work with amazing clients and to have a technical team that is second to none in the industry. Peterson Achieves Risk Assessment Certificate from University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public Health

Chrissy PetersonEHS Support now has two qualified risk assessors on staff to evaluate potential human health and ecological risks. Mrs. Peterson’s studies in exposure, fate and transport, and toxicology allows for an evaluation of site-specific exposure scenarios (e.g., exposures from irrigation, recreational receptors) that provide the risk manager with a cost-effective risk solution that demonstrates responsibility for the assessment of potential risks and ensures environmentally sound protective strategies; this approach eliminates unwarranted remediation activity through the identification of aggressive remediation goals for realistic risk-reduction.

A number of regulatory agencies require a qualified person to evaluate potential risks posed from environmental hazards. This certificate adds to Mrs. Peterson’s qualifications in addition to her 10 years of experience conducting human health risk assessment work, and offers EHS Support’s clients the exposure to multiple technical experts in the field of risk assessment.

Moving forward, Mrs. Peterson will be focusing on risk assessment support at more complex sites to help make determinations of what is in the best interest of our client, both economically and ethically, for the environment, and for public health.

  • April 15-19th is National Work Zone Awareness Week

As the weather gets warmer, highway construction shifts into high gear, and we see more and more orange cones and barrels on our roads. For those of us who have had to travel or commute for work, the appearance of new work zones is as much a milestone of spring as the opening day of baseball. Sometimes these orange barrels can mean frustration and delays! The men and women working in these road construction zones are helping maintain and improve our highways and bridges to make travel smoother and safer for all of us. They deserve to be able to do that work safely.

April 15-19th is deemed National Work Zone Awareness Week. The theme of this year’s Work Zone Awareness Week is “We’re all in this together.” The theme incorporates the fact that accidents in work zones cause serious injury and death to road construction workers, drivers and passengers. Thus, the intent is to bring attention to motorist and worker safety. Attached is a safety reminder aimed at work zone safety, accompanied by tips and facts to encourage you to remain alert and to remind you that orange cones are replaceable…people are not!

Buckle up and keep the rubber on the road!
