    Industrial Experience

    Spruance Groundwater Treatment Plant Upgrade Construction – Richmond, VA

    Field Geologist

    Served as the Field Geologist for construction phase of an upgrade to an existing 125 gpm groundwater collection, transmission, and treatment system to a 360 gpm system which included 48 extraction wells. The project was located on an expansive, active, industrial facility. Onsite field duties included logging test borings; interpretation of sieve analysis; oversight of well installation and development; coordination with site owner and contractor; ensuring implementation of proper health and safety measures.

    Repauno Nitrobenzene Area (NBA) Remediation – Gibbstown, NJ

    Site Representative

    Chris served as a Chemours Site Representative overseeing remediation of a Nitrobenzene Area. Remediation consisted of the excavation and treatment of source material over an area of 20 acres. Treatment consisted of ex-situ bioenhanced/aeration remediation to remove high levels of nitrobenzene, aniline, and diphenylamine (DPA). Project was located on an expansive, non-active, industrial facility. Onsite field duties included oversight of excavation and remediation processes; coordination with site owner and contractor; ensuring implementation of proper health and safety measures.

    Delaware Air National Guard (DANG) Remediation, New Castle, DE

    Field Geologist

    Chris was the Field Geologist overseeing remediation of two small hotspots containing moderate levels of BTEX, and the removal of 100 feet of abandoned fuel-oil pipeline. Remediation consisted of excavation and removal of contaminated soil and pipe, followed by backfilling and compacting with clean fill. Onsite field duties included oversight of excavation processes; tracking volumes of material taken off and brought onto site; coordination with base personnel and contractor; ensuring implementation of proper health and safety measures.
